Healthcare Coordination Committee

The Growing Healthy Healthcare Coordination Committee is comprised of
individuals representing the healthcare community, industry, schools, and
government. The goal of this committee is four-fold.

1. To increase the healthcare providers awareness of the major health
   issues and implications of pediatric obesity.
2. To educate healthcare providers on how to identify ìat riskî or
   overweight children and to calculate BMI at each clinical visit.
3. To educate healthcare providers on the treatment and management of
   pediatric obesity.
4. To help healthcare providers identify and use community resources for
   the management and prevention of pediatric obesity.
